   The next scheduled About Safe Boating Class in Ft.Pierce at FLOTILLA 58 Is Scheduled for
20-FEB-2010, This is an Eight hour class which starts at 8:30 AM, and Covers the following Topics:

  • Chapter 1. Know your Boat,
    Chapter 2. Before Getting Underway,
    Chapter 3. Navigating the waterways,
    Chapter 4. Operating your Boat or PWC...Safely,
    Chapter 5. The Legal requirements of Boating,
    Chapter 6. Boating Emergencies....What to Do,
    Chapter 7. Enjoying Water Sports with your Boat
    And wrapping up with Boating Laws and Responsibilities.

  •  Directions: From US.Hwy 1 go East on seaway Dr, towards The inlet, you will go past U.S.C.G Station Ft.Pierce for Approximately one mile and we are then located on your Left .

   We offer low cost training at $36.00 for our eight hour course and to encourage greater participation in our program we also offer significant family discounts at $10.00 for each additional family member. Payment includes: materials, work book, certificate, and filing of forms with the State of Florida.

   Registration is at 08:30 on the day of each course and you can also Pre-Register if you would like by making Checks payable to "Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 58" which should be mailed to our Public Education's Officer ATTENTION:

Classes tend to fill pretty quick so we recommend booking early to secure your seat; Yes there is a

   Closed book open examination of which we ensure all participants pass with a good grade and upon the completion of the exam you will be awarded our Certificate and boaters education card followed by receipt of your Florida Boating Safety Education I.D. Card through the mail in approximately Three weeks upon completion of all paper work being filed with the state. In most cases we have found that Insurance companies also offer a discounted rate towards your boaters insurance upon presentation of your State Education card which is an added benefit to being an educated boater.
